Landed cost calculator

Add freight, insurance, duties and prep to what you paid for your product, and divide by the units you actually accepted. That is what each unit really costs you once it is on your shelf.

Your shipment

Count only sellable units you accepted. Damaged or rejected units do not carry cost.

How it works

Landed cost per unit = (Product cost + Freight + Insurance + Import costs + Prep) ÷ Accepted sellable units

Product cost is units received × purchase price per unit. Every other cost on the shipment is added on top, and the total is divided by the units you accepted, so rejected or damaged units do not dilute it. See landed cost.

When one shipment carries several SKUs, the shared costs are split across them by units, weight, volume or value. Weight and volume are per unit × units. The split is done in whole cents, so the SKUs add up to the total exactly. If some SKUs have no weight or volume, the split uses value instead.

Prefilled with the glossary's example: 10,000 units at $1.20, with $900 freight, $60 insurance and $540 prep, land at $1.35 per unit, $0.15 above the factory price. This is the same split Vaaha Inventory uses when you receive a purchase order.
